Kostur & Brown was founded by Ruby Kostur and Vanessa Brown in 2025 with the goal of helping queer people find love in Los Angeles.

Vanessa Brown

For over a decade, Vanessa has experienced the evolving dating scene in Los Angeles, and understands just how complex it can be. With a degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University and eight years of experience as a recruiter, she brings a refined intuition to understanding people and what drives connection. Her professional experience interviewing thousands of people and matching individuals to roles taught her essential truths: asking the right questions is key, and success comes from alignment. She now applies these same principles to dating, helping people find the relationships that fit.

A longtime Los Angeles resident, she holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Utah State and a Master’s in Finance from Northeastern, credentials that reflect her analytical mind and deep curiosity about how systems work. As a certified reiki practitioner, Ruby is also guided by energy, connection, and cosmic timing. With years of experience in astrological compatibility and energetic alignment, she helps clients navigate dating with both clarity and intention. Her method is intentional and multidimensional, grounded in both data and intuition.
